The movie is worth watching, even if it is a B grade, because of its strong performances and restrained direction. The plot is nothing new but the screenplay makes sure there are no drawn-out scenes.For those who have seen the trailer, they'll know that this film tells the story of a gangster - Chotta Rajan - going to jail in Karachi for a crime he did not commit and his subsequent escape from prison for revenge. Much before getting into the plot, one has to say that this director has done justice with what he had to work with - which was low budget and rather poor special effects department. The action scenes are very thrilling and exciting. The film moves from one action scene to another, that's a very sure sign that a film has a tight screenplay.The movie is full of actors who have acted in B grade movies in the past, but none of them disappoint. Some of these actors have been in action movies earlier, but the director has given them more to work on this time around. The special effects department has done justice with what they had to work with and there are very few scenes which you feel could be better if only the department had been more strong. Ravi Kishan plays the role of Chotta Rajan to perfection. But, I'm not sure if he looks like Chotta Rajan. But, this is an issue because I don't know how Chotta Rajan looks like. If you know him, feel free to comment below if he looks like the real thing or not. Though I guess nobody knows what Chotta Rajan looks like anyway - since there are quite a few movies on him and none of them have probably made any effort to get the man himself to be part of the movie.But, whatever it is - Ravi has made his character his own. He looks like Chotta Rajan, acts like him and his performance is top notch. Ravi has good faces for the 'hero' roles, which is not only the case with Chotta Rajan but with most of his movies.The rest of the cast is good as well. With the exception of one or two characters - Sharmila Bose (who looks very strong) and Sara Khan (who played a supporting character in Love Story 2050), all others look like they are professionals who can act in any movie. The music was very good. The background music is appropriate for the scenes in which it is used and the songs are little short (or not) - which is good because you don't get bored listening to the songs.The movie has no special effects, but they do what they can with what they have. Once again, the director has used his creativity to make up for these shortcomings by creating some very thrilling scenes (like when Rajan's friend plays the violin). Like I said above, this is a B grade movie with no bells or whistles, but if you want to watch action movies with well-written stories and consistent performances - this is one for you.
